A Teacher Was Fired Due to Participation in "Porno" Films

Apparently a young woman made various pornographic films in the mid 2000s, and then gave up this line of work in order to become a teacher.

She received good reviews as a teacher and was respected by her fellow teachers and students, yet, when some of her pornographic films were discovered last year (online), she was fired.

She attempted to regain her job through the court system, but a judge has ruled that she is not qualified to be a teacher because of her past.

1)  Making a pornographic film is not illegal, yet she cannot be a teacher anymore.  Is this fair?

2)  Should we be capable of forgiving a person for past actions, or does participation in the porno industry constitute something unforgiveable?
